
JULIANNE DEROUIN
PERFORMER
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Julianne DeRouin is a Boston based freelance dancer, instructor, and choreographer.
She graduated cum laude with a BFA in Dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she studied ballet, modern, jazz, and improvisation. While attending UMass, she had the pleasure of performing in works by Thomas Vacanti, Paul Dennis, Leslie Frye-Mayetta, Margaret Wiss, Nicole Dagesse, and Rebecca Steinberg. DeRouin is a constant student who seeks out additional dance training through both local and international classes and workshops; she concentrates her studies in contemporary, Gaga, and modern movement.
Additional training includes Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Eyas Dance Project, Flock Dance, Batsheva, Urbanity Dance, and Pantos Project Dance. DeRouin has worked and performed with organizations throughout New England such as Odyssey Opera, Saving Grace Dance Ensemble, Fox Ballroom, Orcha Dance Theater, and City Ballet of Boston’s Urban Nutcracker.
