CASEY COPELAND
DRAMATURG AND PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Casey Copeland is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and researcher currently based in North Florida.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her BFA in Dance from Florida State University and is pursing her MA in Dance at Florida State University. Copeland has had the privilege to train under Anjali Austin, Ilana Goldman, Jawole Willa Zollar, Tim Glenn, Gwen Welliver, and Dr. Tom Welsh.
Copeland currently serves as head instructor and artistic director for the Dance Workshop in Perry FL and has directed productions of Alice in Wonderland, Thumbelina, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, and Jungle Book. As a researcher her work delves into the under-explored areas of mental health, wellness and communication for dancers. Her work seeks to discover what exists now and what the future can become.
