AUDITION HAWAII 2022
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the September 2022 production of THE QUEEN OF NÖRI, produced by StoneWorks Productions and Kailua Dance Academy .THE QUEEN OF NÖRI is an original story ballet that follows a Queen who turns to dark magic to save her kingdom from war with neighboring powers. We feature stories, voices, and generations underrepresented in the classical ballet canon, and seek to empower young dancers to share their stories through a fantasy lens. We are very excited to be bringing this show to a new audience and to work with Hawaii-based dancers! We are looking for professional dancers 18+ and pre-professional dancers 15-18 for our 18-person show–and doubles for all lead roles. We are looking for movers of any gender comfortable with some combination of classical ballet, contemporary ballet, and contemporary dance. Partnering and acting experience are highly desired!

SHOW SYNOPSIS
Tensions are high between the kingdoms of Nori, Litara, & Baladir as they try to negotiate a peace treaty. Desperate to preserve her kingdom and keep her daughter safe, the Queen of Nori asks her Weapons Engineer to create a new weapon of war, and he delivers a dark magic. Litara breaks the peace treaty, and the resulting war forces all three rulers to reckon with the cost of conflict.
CONTRACT DETAILS
Compensation for Professional Dancers will be based on level of experience, between $15-$20/hr. All performers, including Pre-Professional Apprentice Dancers, will be able to attend free company technique class and will have access to all photos/videos from rehearsals and performance.
