Thanks for your interest in auditioning for the 2022 productions of THE QUEEN OF NÖRI, created by StoneWorks Productions. We are excited to bring this innovative show to new and larger audiences this year. We are looking for dancers to fill out our 14-person show–and doubles for all lead roles. We are looking for movers of any gender comfortable with some combination of classical ballet, contemporary ballet, and contemporary dance. Partnering and acting experience are highly desired!

We will be holding auditions in Cambridge, MA.

You may attend EITHER Friday, February 25th OR Sunday, February 27th.

COMPENSATION

$20/hr for rehearsal and performance 

Once-a-week free company class for cast members (currently Mondays 10-11:30am) 

Access to all photos and videos from the process and performance 

Rehearsals will be split between Cambridge and Burlington, MA depending on schedule. Car-pooling will be available for Sunday rehearsals from Cambridge to Burlington. See below for a rough rehearsal schedule.

SHOW SYNOPSIS

Tensions are high between the kingdoms of Nori, Litara, & Baladir as they try to negotiate a peace treaty. Desperate to preserve her kingdom and keep her daughter safe, the Queen of Nori asks her Weapons Engineer to create a new weapon of war, and he delivers a dark magic. Litara breaks the peace treaty, and the resulting war forces all three rulers to reckon with the cost of conflict.

King of Baladir

Opportunistic, used to being the smartest person in a room. Uses espionage and subterfuge to keep up with the other two kingdoms.

Grounded, strong contemporary ballet adagio movement and acting ability.
